8-Week Mind-Body Skills Group for Stress Reduction and Wellness

Carolee Laffoon will facilitate an 8-week Mind-Body Skills Group following the model of The Center for Mind-Body Medicine (www.cmbm.org) tentatively scheduled to start June 9 at the BTR Training Center on Interline Ave. Meetings will be Monday evenings 6:30-8:30pm through July 28 (dates to be confirmed by April 15). Participants will learn simple ways to reduce stress and burnout, manage anxiety, alleviate insomnia, and find new direction or meaning in life. The sessions will cover mind-body medicine skills practiced in Western medicine and traditional healing cultures including meditation, movement, guided imagery, creative expression, and much more.
Cost: $160 ($20/session) with early registration and payment by May 31. Contact Carolee to schedule pre-group consultation appointment.

Carolee Laffoon, MBA, PE, is a professional chemical engineer, life coach, and mind-body skills practitioner. She is currently enrolled in the Mind-Body Certification Program through the Center for Mind-Body Medicine (CMBM), and serves on the faculty of the Mind-Body Center of Louisiana (www.mindbodyla.org). Carolee attended CMBM’s Advanced Mind-Body Medicine Professional Training Program in San Francisco in January. She received her life coaching certification in 2009, when she started facilitating workshops and working with clients to use mind-body skills for stress reduction and healing, and she has been an environmental consultant in Baton Rouge since graduating from LSU in 1995.
