Join the West Atlanta Watershed Alliance, U.S. Forest Service, and National Wildlife Federation to learn about Atlanta’s incredible urban forest and its wildlife inhabitants!

This free event is family-friendly and is guaranteed to bring fun memories to people of all ages. The festival will feature hikes through the 26-acre Outdoor Activity Center (OAC) urban forest, tours of the Bioponica Sustainable Farming system, educational exhibits, guest speakers, and wildlife games. West Atlanta Watershed Alliance (WAWA) is a environmental justice stewardship and advocacy organization. Our mission is to improve the quality of life within the adopted watersheds of Proctor, Sandy and Utoy Creeks by protecting, preserving, and restoring our community's natural resources. WAWA is a non-profit organization that has 15 years of momentum behind its community interactions. We are a largely African American organization whose members predominantly reside in, and have organized to address critical wastewater policy concerns within West Atlanta.
