When & Where
Silicon Valley African Film Festival (SVAFF)
Now in its 7th year and presented by Oriki Theater in partnership with the Community School of Music and Arts and the African Diaspora Network; the Silicon Valley African Film Festival (SVAFF) is the only film festival in California that is exclusively focused on films made by African filmmakers and, crucially, provides audiences with exquisite lenses to the real Africa. The festival’s mission, thus, aims at promoting finer understanding and greater appreciation of Africa’s rich heritage through moving images. Our annual film festival is held every October and attracts an international following of distinguished transcontinental visitors, corporate executives, cinema buffs, academics, civic officials and diverse community supporters.
