Conference Keynote and Awards Ceremony on May 15 between 5:30pm and 8pm in Ryan Lounge.
Join us for welcoming remarks, keynote, faculty teaching awards, and a social gathering. Brian White (Biology), the newly appointed Provost Fellow for Teaching and Technology, will give the keynote address: “Helping a Thousand Flowers to Bloom. Teaching with Technology at UMass Boston.”
Conference Sessions on May 16, between 8:30 am and 4:00 pm in Healey Library.
We will have a full program, beginning with a 9am plenary talk by Stephanie Hartwell (Sociology/Graduate Studies), winner of the 2012 Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Teaching: “The Reluctant Early Adopter: Technology and the Teacher.”
Topics for this year’s concurrent sessions include the following:
- Teaching with iPads,
- Assessment for courses and programs,
- ebooks and eresources,
- Open access library resources,
- Engaging students as readers and writers in a variety of ways
- Using social media in Blackboard Learn.
