The 6th Annual Jazz Half Marathon & 5K will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2014. The half marathon is a 13.1 mile race running from Lafayette Square in downtown New Orleans to Audubon Park and back. The 5K is a 3.1 mile race run within downtown.
Following the run is a post race party in Lafayette Square where participants will be treated to food and drinks including some New Orleans favorites: jambalalya and red beans & rice.
The race supports The Cancer Program at Children's Hospital New Orleans which offers comprehensive treatment of all types of malignancies and blood disorders in children. Though patient care is the primary focus, The Cancer Program at Children's Hospital is an active participant in clinical and basic research of childhood cancers and blood disorders. All proceeds from the race exclusively benefit the Cancer Program.
We invite you to put on your running shoes and join us in the fight to erradicate childhood cancers.
Children's Hospital is a 247-bed, not-for-profit medical center offering the most advanced pediatric care for children from birth to 21 years.
