Reddit
Erik Martin, General Manager
Reddit is the "front page of the internet" famously serving upwards of 2 billion pages a month. Over 35 million "redditors" contribute links, images, memes, self-posts and more … and then up-vote them up into internet fame or down-vote them into obscurity.  Erik Martin, one of the "100 Most Influential People in the World" according to Time Magazine, oversees this highly active community and is widely known for helping Reddit organize opposition to proposed SOPA and PIPA antipiracy laws earlier this year.  He will be discussing reddit community projects that keep him up at night.

Waze
Di-Ann Eisnor, VP Platform & Partnerships
Waze is a social traffic & navigation app based on the world's largest community of drivers sharing real time road info and contributing to the “common good” out there on the road. By simply driving around with Waze open, users passively contribute traffic and other road data. Users can take a more active role by sharing road reports on accidents, police traps, or any other hazards along the way, helping to give other users in the area a 'heads-up' about what's to come– and because it’s 100% user-generated, the more people who use Waze, the better (and more fun) it gets! Also, Waze is shooting to save its community time AND money with its new fuel program to help our community of 20 million drivers worldwide find their best gas station options and real-time prices.

GROW Conference 2012
August 22-24th, 2012
Vancouver, B.C.

Re-Thinking Business: Staying relevant in a new era. The GROW Conference explores how the consumer revolution is changing the future of business. Engage or die. The social web has changed consumer expectations and empowered them with real-time information and a digital soapbox. They are your customers and your employees. In today’s noisy marketplace with low switching costs, they can leave you at any time. To stay competitive, companies must create a culture of respect and openness, build a strong brand, and emotionally engage their community. In the land of 'me too' companies what you stand for and how you interact is your differentiator. Speakers: Joe Stump, Founder, Sprint.ly
; Neil Patel, Co-Founder, KissMetrics
; Rick Perrault, Founder, Unbounce
; Rand Fishkin, Founder, SEOmoz

“One of the tech community’s longest-running traditions  — where the beer is cold and the ideas are red hot.”  -- ABC News

About SF New Tech

As seen in The Wall Street Journal & on ABC News,  SF New Tech (SFNT) is a world-renowned live platform for technology startups to showcase their latest innovations in front of 100s of tech-minded founders, engineers, investors, media, and more.

Since Myles Weissleder, CEO, founded SFNT in 2006, over 700 companies have leveraged SFNT to launch or demo their new products, services, and features, including such internet luminaries Evernote, Waze, 23andMe, Flipboard, Twilio, Splunk and many other “pre-fame” startups.

As a cornerstone of the San Francisco technology community and as SF's largest, longest-running, and most-loved technology event, SFNT is laser-focused on putting innovators and their innovations in the spotlight in front of their peers -- and beyond.
