5th Annual Ventura County Wine Trail Celebration
Thursday, June 21, 2012 from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM (PDT)
Oxnard, United States
The Ventura County Wine Trail is bringing the 5th Annual Celebration Event to Oxnard’s Heritage Square, June 21st from 5:30pm to 8:30pm. This annual event celebrates the finest of Ventura County Wine Country, showcasing local boutique wines and critically acclaimed cuisine. Wine tasting in Ventura County is unique in California, as local wineries bring in grapes from all of California’s most regarded growing regions; including Napa Valley, Sonoma, Lodi, Monterey County, Central Coast, Santa Barbara, Ojai and beyond. This allows wine enthusiasts to taste the very best of California’s wine appellations, while enjoying a wide variety of wines – all without a road-trip. The event will boast more than 30 different wines for attendees to experience over the three hour celebration.
In addition to the lineup of wines, guests will taste amazing local cuisine – fresh from the area’s most recognized restaurants. In previous years, chefs have shared inspired creations such as Wild King Salmon, Kobe Beef Sliders and Fresh Seared Scallops. All of this will be accompanied by live jazz and the charming ambience of the outdoor pavilions at Heritage Square.
A portion of the evening’s proceeds will be donated to the Ventura County FOOD SHARE, a food bank that houses and distributes millions of pounds of food each year to the hungry of Ventura County. All wine and food is included in the price of admission, along with souvenir wine glass. Parking will be available at the 4th Street parking structure with free shuttle service provided by the Ventura County Wine Trail Bus. This is a 21 and over event only. This is a great opportunity to experience fine wines and incredible food, while helping some of the area’s most needy.
