Coastal Communities Town Hall
Thursday, November 7, 7:00-8:30 pm
We are very pleased to present a Coastal Communities Town Hall, free of charge and open to the public, during the Summit. Members of Congress and local leaders will share their views on the challenges of sea level rise and climate change and discuss what federal and state governments are doing to help local communities address the impacts and plan for the future.
The Town Hall will take place on Thursday, November 7, from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm in the Floridian Ballroom. Doors will open at 6:30 pm.
Although the Town Hall is free, registration is required. Please select the "Coastal Communities Town Hall ONLY" option from the ticket types above and proceed through the registration process. There is a limit of four (4) tickets per registration. Each member of your party will need to bring his/her printed ticket and photo ID to the event.
Parking in the Convention Center garage will be free with validation.
Regional Climate Leadership Summit

Broward County and the City of Fort Lauderdale, in collaboration with the Southeast Florida Regional Climate Change Compact, are very pleased to host the Fifth Annual Southeast Florida Regional Climate Leadership Summit on November 7 and 8, 2013.
Join elected officials, federal agency representatives, experts from local governments, scientists, nonprofit and business leaders to review regional progress, connect with other leaders from within the region and beyond, and chart a path forward for Southeast Florida.
NOTE: Summit registrants wishing to attend the Coastal Communities Town Hall do NOT need to register separately. You will be asked if you plan to attend during the registration process.
Highlights of this year’s Summit will include:
- Coastal Communities Town Hall (see above)
- Workshop on innovative tools for local adaptation
- Panel featuring local officials from the Northeast and mid-Atlantic discussing recovery from Superstorm Sandy
- Panel highlighting federal agency leadership on climate issues
- Many other panels and speakers
