Langston University is proud to announce its 5th Annual Social Justice Symposium, featuring keynote speaker, Dr. John Sassin, PhD CRC, presenting on “Why Social Justice Matters.” This symposium is free to the public and offers informative seminars, free health screenings, a chance at free necessity cards (such as Quiktrip gift cards), and lunch catered by The Nipa Hut.
Friday, October 11, 2013, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
At Langston University-Tulsa, we are very excited about the upcoming symposium for it can be a continued dialog that will build a better tomorrow for all people. We have assembled many presenters from the region’s strongest advocates for social justice. They come from local communities and classrooms promoting the concept of social justice in their own unique experiences.
Our common thread is the value we place on all people and the equality that Social Justice promotes for not only us as individuals, but collectively as one community. It is time to break free from the silos that separate us and build a bridge together for a better future.
