5th Annual Prescription Drug Abuse Symposium
Reversing the Tide of Opioid Abuse
The Westin Hotel
(Hotel Rooms at the Westin are Currently Sold Out for the Evening of October 16)
301 West Washington Indianapolis, IN 46204
While prescription drugs provide relief to millions of people every year when used properly, the misuse and abuse of these drugs has become one of the gravest issues facing Hoosiers of all ages today. More than 1,000 Hoosiers died from drug overdoses in 2012 and nationally, more people were killed from prescription drugs that heroin, cocaine and hallucinogens combined.
Tackling Prescription Drug Abuse requires multi-disciplinary approached strategies and that's what you can expect to gain as an attendee of the 2014 Prescription Drug Abuse Symposium. The audience, much like Indiana's Prescription Drug Abuse Prevention Task Force, will be composed of state & federal legislators, law enforcement, health officials, members of the medical community, pharmacists, state and local agencies and education providers. ***Please note the agenda is still a work in progress and is subject to change.

- CLE Credit
- CEUs for Mental Health and Addiction Professionals
Law Enforcement Training Board (LETB) Credit - May partially satisfy law enforcement in-service training requirements
