               A) Clinical Pearls: Treatment Considerations of the Core and Lower Quadrant

Judy Seto, PT, DPT, OCS, SCS, MBA, CSCS, PES, CES

Tired of repeating exercises and getting the inconsistent or subpar results? Wondering what can be done to alter or tweak your programs to successfully get your athlete to the next level? Want to learn how to make results stick instead of revisiting repeat injuries?  During this 45 minute lecture/lab session we will discuss and demonstrate the rationale behind why your rehabilitation programs may not have been success and how to turn it around. Learn clinical pearls and treatment techniques targeting the lower quadrant including the lumbopelvic- hip complex and how to solve some of the more difficult clinical questions such as how to reduce iliotibial band and hip flexor restriction, techniques to resolve patellar tendinitis, and how to find neutral spine and maintain it during athletic activity.

               B) Clinical Pearls:  Treatment Considerations of the Shoulder

Kris Cooper, PT, DPT, OCS, MTC, FAAOMPT

Each athlete with a shoulder problem is an individual with specific goals, history, and impairments. This 45 minute lecture/lab session offers a comprehensive examination of the shoulder for the rehabilitation professional with emphasis on differential assessment of specific impairments in the articular system (Glenohumeral, Acromioclavicular, Sternoclavicular joints), the thorax, and flexibility/coordination/strength of the scapular girdle and rotator cuff.   A staged treatment approach to get the best and most rapid outcomes with difficult cases will be presented.

               C) Clinical Pearls: Overcoming Trigger Points in the Athlete

Kyle Weber, PT, DPT, COMT, CMPT

Trigger Point Theory has become a hot topic in the realm of Physical Therapy. Most recently, clinicians have been getting certifications for Trigger Point Dry Needling. This course is not one of them! Impacts of Trigger Points in Manual Physical Therapy focuses on manual techniques to relieve trigger points and identify if they are contributing to the patient's dysfunction and pain. The session will describe the pathophysiological attributes of trigger points, ways to identify dysfunctional muscles, review common referral patterns, and provide multiple treatment techniques.

3:30 pm  Complicated Shoulder Surgeries-Why Did the Injury Repeat Gordon Nuber, MD

4:05 pm  Cadaver: Live Dissection and Review of the Shoulder Gordon Nuber, MD

4:30 pm  Rotator Cuff Weakness: Victim or Perpetrator?  Kris Cooper, PT, DPT, OCS, MTC, FAAOMPT
