Description

Race Information

The “5K Run of Everyday Champions” is a principal fundraiser for Northwest Compass, a 501(c)(3) organization providing emergency services, education, and empowerment to those in the northwest suburbs who are vulnerable and in crisis.

The event gets its name from the Northwest Compass definition of a “Champion.”

“Champion” is defined as a person who takes individual responsibility for enacting successful, positive change in a community. They are supportive and enthusiastic about positive change and are actively involved in bringing it about. “Champions” advocate and promote acceptance of positive change and motivate others to do the same. The “Champions”’ of Northwest Compass are driven by the mission and vision, and are energized by their passion to have a social impact.

To celebrate this theme, Northwest Compass invites “Champions” of all types and athletic ability to participate in the “5K Run of Everyday Champions," consisting of a 5K Run as well as a Kids' Dash.
