On behalf of the Silicon Valley Leadership Group, we would like to invite you to our next Public Officials Luncheon on Friday, May 20th from 11:30am to 1pm at Riverwood Grove (2150 Tasman Drive Santa Clara, CA).
The topic in May is form-based codes. Form-based codes offer a powerful alternative to conventional zoning. They are a tool to address the relationship between building facades and the public realm, the form and mass of buildings in relation to one another, and the scale and types of streets and blocks.
Our guest is Nicole Moore from Dahlin Group Architecture. Nicole has over 10 years of experience in the architectural and planning projects. As a practitioner of form-based codes, Nicole will share best practices and insights on how to utilize form-based codes to create spaces that build communities.
Special thanks to FUJIFILM Dimatix, Inc. and MidPeninsula Housing for co-hosting this luncheon. Optional tours of Riverwood Grove, an affordable rental development, will be available after the luncheon.
DATE: Friday, May 20th

By way of background, the Public Officials Luncheon series is co-chaired by San Jose Councilmember Sam Liccardo and Mountain View Councilmember Margaret Abe-Koga. The goal of the luncheons is to provide a space for local council members and planning commissioners to have peer-to-peer discussions on housing issues affecting their communities.
