50 Shades of Whiskey: Saloon Hosts A Tasting for Ladies Only
Saloon Offers an Opportunity to Learn What Whiskeys Will Turn You On
Join Saloon’s Beverage Director, Manny Gonzales, who will host 50 Shades of Whiskey, an evening of learning and tasting whiskey just for women who are interested in becoming more comfortable with the various brown liquors that tease them from behind the bar.
During the evening in Saloon’s downstairs playroom / semi-private dining space, women will sample various types of dark liquor, from whiskey to bourbon and rye, as Manny introduces each liquor and assists in distinguishing the flavors and notes. Each liquor will then be constructed into a coordinating cocktail, to help your taste buds ease in and savor the differences.
Small plates from Saloon Chef Derek Clough will accompany and pair perfectly with the dark drinks, and will include bacon wrapped prunes and glazed pork belly.
Bernheim Wheat Whiskey with the Regular & Sour cocktail, consisting of whiskey, dried plum distillate and lemon, topped with ginger beer and a cherry
Knob Creek Rye with an Elderberry Rye cocktail
Bulliet Bourbon with an Autumn Star cocktail, a seasonal specialty consisting of apple and pumpkin infused bourbon, macerated with clove, star anise, all spice, cinnamon, and black pepper
