Abstract:SharePoint Workflow has changed dramatically in the newest version of the platform. In many ways, it’s far more powerful for all types of users, but with great power comes great…learning curves? In this session, we’ll explore this new world of workflow, from architecture and configuration to development and business user support. I will guide you through your initial desire to deny these changes and towards understanding and acceptance of the benefits of this new approach. Demos will consist of Visual Studio and SharePoint Designer workflows. All SharePoint workers, from IT Pros to Business Users, will find useful, and potentially time saving, tips by the end of this presentation.
Bio:Sam Larko has been attracted to software development since he started teaching himself QBasic in grade school. After graduating with a degree in Applied Computer Science, Sam spent a year as an ASP.NET and VB.NET developer. He was then introduced to the SharePoint platform, specifically SharePoint Server 2003, and hasn’t looked back since. He has now logged seven years with SharePoint spanning the last four versions. Most of this time he has been a developer, but in recent years has involved himself in administration projects. Sam started speaking at local events such as SharePoint Saturday in San Antonio, Austin, and St. Louis and regularly frequents Twitter under the guise of @SPSamL. He can also be found contributing to the Applied Information Sciences’ blog, http://blog.appliedis.com/author/sam-larko, as well as his personal blog, http://sharepointtherapy.blogspot.com.
AIS will sponsor both food and SharePint
