Start 2014 off right by getting your financial house in order! 

The 4th Annual WAM! Conference offers a full day of interactive workshops that will empower you to take control of your money and equip you with the tools you need to meet your financial goals. Women and Money (WAM!) topics include Organizing Your Finances, Investing for Beginners, All About Mortgages, Credit 101, Protecting Your Finances, Entrepreneurship and more. 

Peggy Brockman will deliver the keynote address entitled "From Stuck to WOW: Living in to Your Purpose, Passion and Possibilities". Peggy is a sought-after inspirational speaker, certified life and business coach as well as corporate trainer of personal and professional development and leadership. She has helped individuals and companies around the world make the changes needed to soar to success. She is a member of John C. Maxwell’s international speaking, training and coaching team and has traveled with him on international transformational leadership projects. She serves her local community in many leadership capacities including President-Elect of the American Business Women’s Association, VP of Programming for American Society for Training and Development, and the Panhandle Animal Welfare Society. She is a former Chair of the Board of the Ft. Walton Beach Chamber of Commerce and the annual Peggy Brockman Leadership Award was established in her honor by Leadership Okaloosa in 2005. 

This year's conference also includes a special track featuring The Allstate Foundation's Moving Ahead curriculum. Moving Ahead is a comprehensive package of tools and information designed to empower people to understand and manage their finances. Topics in this track include protecting personal and financial safety, working toward long-term financial goals, accessing financial resources, dealing with misuse of financial records and more. 

This free conference includes a full day of breakout sessions, keynote address, breakfast, lunch and child care. 

Join us for WAM! on Saturday, February 22 from 8am to 3pm at the Costa Leadership Institute located in the Student Services Center on the Niceville campus of Northwest Florida State College.

The 4th Annual WAM! Conference is presented by Shelter House, the domestic and sexual violence center serving Okaloosa and Walton counties, and made possible through funding from The Allstate Foundation.
