Remember how much fun summer was when you were a kid? No school, plenty of playtime, your own lemonade stand, and lots of ice cream! The Young Ambassadors Council at The Children's Inn invites you to relive your childhood at our 4th Annual "Friendraiser" on July 17. We'll be serving favorite childhood snacks and refreshments, providing tours of The Inn, and letting you know how you can join a growing network of young professionals that support Inn kids and families throughout the year. You'll even get a chance to check out The Inn's new Park & Playground!
Are you INN?
Registration is free, but space is limited. RSVP via Eventbrite no later than July 15, 2014.
If you have never visited the NIH campus, please check the NIH Visitors and Security<http://www.nih.gov/about/visitorsecurity.htm> webpage for more information on getting to The Inn.
When & Where
Young Ambassador Council
The Young Ambassadors Council (YAC) was founded in 2011 to increase opportunities for individuals in their 20s, 30s, and 40s to become involved with The Children's Inn at NIH. Led by a volunteer Council, Young Ambassadors support The Inn's mission through fundraising, social events, volunteer projects, community outreach initiatives, and much more.
The Children's Inn offers a warm and inviting place for families who have a child or young adult facing a major health challenge that calls for the best treatment available. Children and their families travel from around the United States and the world to NIH, and in the Inn's 23 years it has hosted over 11,500 children and their families. The Inn also offers an array of activities on and off campus for the families to relax, take their mind off hospital stay and connect with other families. The YAC is able to support these activities through volunteer opportunities, connecting DC/MD/VA residents with the Inn and community fundraising events throughout the year.
