The 4th Annual Dining in the Dark promises guests an evening of elegance, adventure, and education about the hope available for people who are blind or visually impaired. Located at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, Indianapolis, the event will include a reception, silent auction, dinner, dancing, and games. In its third year last year, Dining in the Dark raised over $50,000 and over 350 people came together to support the same mission - to empower people who are blind or visually impaired.
All proceeds will benefit the Bosma Visionary Opportunities Foundation. The mission of the Foundation is to support programs offered by Bosma Enterprises for individuals who are blind or visually impaired. For nearly 100 years, Bosma Enterprises has been creating opportunities that lead to the independence and empowerment of people throughout the Hoosier state who are blind or visually impaired. The Foundation's primary objectives are to provide rehabilitation, employment training, employment opportunities and community job placement in an effort to fight the staggering 70% unemployment rate among adults who are blind or visually impaired.
For those of you attending the event who may be looking for a place to stay, be advised that the Hyatt Regency Downtown Indianapolis is offering a room rate of $125.00. To book a room at this rate, simply contact the Hyatt reservation line at 800-233-1234 and ask for the Bosma Enterprises rate.
When & Where
Bosma Visionary Opportunities Foundation
The Bosma Visionary Opportunities Foundation was formed in 2009 to support Bosma Enterprises, a nonprofit agency whose mission is to empower people who are blind or visually impaired by creating opportunities that lead to the achievement of each individual's employment, economic, social, and self-determination goals.
Bosma Enterprises has a longstanding history of service to the community of people who are blind or visually impaired dating back to 1915 when it was founded as the Indiana Industrial Home for Blind Men by the State of Indiana. Since that time, Bosma Enterprises has emerged as the only full-service provider in Indiana for people who are blind or visually impaired.
