About Beer Fest

This is the event that started it all. 3 years ago during the last weekend in July we threw our first beer fest at the same location. Join us as we celebrate our 4th Annual Beer Fest at the Block! Drink the District Beer Fest is a celebration of beer, summer, and youth in the Nation's Capital.

The following items are included in your ticket:

  • Unlimited tastings of over 75 beers
  • Lawn games like corn hole, flip cup, and beer pong
  • Access to awesome local food trucks
  • Live entertainment all day

Below are some frequently asked questions

What are the different types of tickets and pricing for the event?

The retail price for tickets is $50. Like most live events and festivals we offer a limited number of tickets at pre-sale prices. Our pre-sale prices start at $35 and increase to $40 and then $45 before we sell our $50 tickets. At this time we have no VIP options so all tickets purchased, regardless of the purchase price, are the same.

How do the sessions work? Can I come all day?

Our sessions work like a movie theater does. When you purchase a ticket you are selecting which timeframe you want to come. This event has 2 sessions - one beginning at 1PM and the other beginning at 6:00PM. Each session will last 3 hours. After the first session is over we'll clear the venue and prepare for the next session.

Are there age or ID requirements to enter the event? Can children accompany a parent?

All attendees must be over 21. Children will not be permitted in the event. You must provide a government-issued photo ID to enter the event.

Are there volunteer opportunities? What do you get for volunteering?

Yes, there are volunteer opportunities! You can find the sign-up page here. If you volunteer for the first session you'll get a free ticket for the second session at the end of your shift. Volunteers for the second session will receive two (2) tickets to a future event or we'll make a $25 donation to our charity - Athletes Without Limits.

Are dogs or other pets allowed?

Dogs and other animals will not be allowed into the festival. (Service animals excluded)

What is your entry/exit policy?

The event has a no re-entry policy. Please make sure to bring everything you need with you into the event.

What is your smoking policy?

At this venue smoking and/or vaping is permitted.

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?

There is no on-site parking for the event. There are nearby outdoor parking lots that you will be able to park at.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

You either need to bring your printed ticket or you need be able to pull up your ticket with your mobile phone. On your phone you can use 1) the Eventbrite app, 2) the PDF in the order confirmation email you'll receive after purchasing a ticket, or 3) Passbook to pull up your ticket.

What is the refund policy?

We will honor refund requests made prior to July 17th. After that date no refunds will be issued. Please email tickets@drinkthedistrict.com and include your order number when requesting a refund.

The name on the registration/ticket doesn't match the attendee. Is that okay?

Yes, that is ok.
