This month’s general meeting of the 4th Corner Fly Fishers will be held at the Bellingham Golf and Country Club on Thursday September 24, 2015. The Wet Fly will begin at 6pm with dinner at 6:45. The program will begin at 7:30 and will be followed by the general membership meeting.
This month’s meeting features Blake Merwin. Blake is the owner/operator of the Gig Harbor Fly Shop in Gig Harbor, WA. He guides for sea run cutthroat and salmon in the salt, as well as steelhead and salmon in freshwater. He is an avid fly tyer and kayak fisherman. Blake lives in Gig Harbor, has two kids (ages 4 & 6), and is happily married to his wife Allison. The program will feature Blake’s insights into fishing for sea run cutthroat and salmon in the waters of Puget Sound. He will discuss strategies, techniques and equipment for fishing both on foot and by kayak.
Please RSVP for the meeting by Tuesday, September 22 (midnight deadline) by visiting http://4cff.eventbrite.com, by email at firstname.lastname@example.org, or by phone at 360-319-1350. As you know, we’ve had some trouble in recent months with our numbers being unpredictable due to late sign ups and walk ins, so please do the staff at the club a favor and sign up if you plan to be there. Also, be sure to indicate if you’ll be having dinner or just attending the meeting, and remember that a dinner reservation made is a binding commitment to pay. Getting your RSVP in on time helps us provide an accurate count for the kitchen and we very much appreciate your help in placing your reservations on time.
