4-H youth leaders are blasting off into space on September 5-6, 2014!
Cost: $58.00 (you can also register in person at our office, checks can be made out to "Washington County 4-H")
Who: 4-H members in the 5th - 6th grades
What: Space Camp!
When: Friday, September 5th at 2:00pm to Saturday, September 6th at 3:00pm
Where: Meet at the USU Extension, Washington County 4-H Office in Saint George at 2:00pm on Friday. We'll then caravan to the Discover Space Center in Pleasant Grove.
How: We'll leave the Washington County Extension Office at 2:00pm on Friday, September 5th. We'll stop in Nephi for dinner and arrive shortly before 7:00pm at the Discovery Space Center in Pleasant Grove. Simulator space missions start promptly at 7:00pm.
Youth will spend the night in the space station. Boys and girls will sleep in separate shuttles at the space center. A snack will be provided Friday night and breakfast Saturday morning. Shuttle simulator missions will end at 10am on Saturday, September 6th.
Download and complete this Mandatory Release Form. Each youth will need to have one filled out and signed in order to attend this trip.
Space is limited. Only the first 14 youth that register can attend.
We will need parents with vans or SUV's to volunteer as chaperones to drive up to Pleasant Grove and back. We can reimburse for fuel costs, but you will be responsible for finding your own lodging that night.
