Most events are free, but in order to cover our cost we are inviting donations. Suggested donation is $5/film or $15/festival pass.

If ticket sales have ended for your desired film, and the location is not showing "SOLD OUT", proceed to the venue at least 15 minutes ahead of the start time to obtain an open seat. If the venue is full at that time, we will direct you to a possible alternative film/venue.
To once again stimulate dialogue and inspire planet-friendly action, Green Community Connections is hosting the Third Annual One Earth Film Festival 2014 March 7-9, 2014at various venues around Chicago, including Oak Park and River Forest. The festival is the Midwest's premier environmental film festival and kicks off with several pre-fest events in February.
The fest creates transformative opportunities for understanding climate change, sustainability and the power of human involvement. Fest attendees can expect a weekend packed with an intensive “education & awareness punch” in rich, stories on film and solution-oriented discussions and experiences.
Fest organizers look far and wide for films with interest and appeal for every member of the family. GCC members hope the fest will be a positive and powerful catalyst for helping the Chicago-area move forward as sustainable communities and green community leaders.
30 films in two dozen locations in Chicago and near-West suburbs.

One Earth Film Festival
In 2015 Green Community Connections will host the fourth annual One Earth Film Festival in Chicago, Oak Park, River Forest, Forest Park, Berwyn & River Grove, March 6-8. One Earth Film Festival is the Midwest's premier environmental film festival, creating opportunities for understanding climate change, sustainability and the power of human involvement through sustainability-themed films and facilitated discussion. We engage private, public and non-profit sector community partners in the sponsorship and production of the film festival.
One Earth...Our Earth! Young Filmmakers Contest
In conjunction with the 2014 film festival, Green Community Connections sponsored the second annual Young Filmmakers Contest. The contest was created with the goal of engaging the youth in the discussion about sustainability issues and getting them thinking about solutions.
Green Living & Learning Tour
The Green Living & Learning Tour is a great opportunity for Oak Park and River Forest residents to share what they are doing to make their lives more sustainable with innovative green initiatives. Participants see first hand practical, everyday ways to apply ecological principles, and they can ask questions of knowledgeable resource persons and homeowners.
