It’s no secret that Atlanta is one of the fastest growing cities in the United States. There are over 5.5 million people living in the Metropolitan Atlanta area. This fact is evident in the steady population growth of our diverse communities. People from all corners of the globe have decided to make Atlanta their home. Atlanta has a rich history of longstanding festivals that bring together many of the region’s population to embrace a common pastime. Usually music and food are the major themes that attract people from all over Metro Atlanta and the neighboring regions.
The 3rd Annual Atlanta World Kite Festival and Expo will continue the tradition of festivals and family by celebrating our communities, healthy families, and kite flying. We successfully achieved this last year by featuring contests, local entertainment, food, arts and crafts, city leaders, local non-profits, community organizations, and kite demonstrations.
The 3rd Annual Atlanta World Kite Festival and Expo will fill a void with the social and recreational partnering of the citizens of the city. As conceived by its founder and co-organizer, Joe Rowell, the festival was built on the premise of “cultural awareness and community building”. Along with Mr. Rowell, a group of his family and friends decided to make a unique and positive contribution to their city by bringing our communities together.
