3D Printing Demo & Meetup
Thursday, June 27, 2013 from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM (EDT)
San Francisco, California
London, United Kingdom
3D printing is one of the most popular technologies in our Makerspace, and our Solidoodle 3D printer typically has a small crowd gathered around it during our weekly Open House. We know many of you are hungry to learn about the technology, gain an understanding of how it works, and try it out for yourselves. To satisfy this demand, we are holding a 3D printing meetup and demonstration on June 27th at 7:00pm!
During the event Kevin Besig will be holding a 3D printing demonstration where he will introduce 3D printing, including:
- Describe how the technology fundamentally works.
- Demonstrate how plastic 3D printing technology works and operates.
- Discuss the potential of 3D printing and it's applications in the real world.
- Answer any questions you may have.
However this event is not just demonstration, it is also a meetup for all 3D printing enthusiasts in the Rochester and Western, NY area. If you have a 3D printer, please bring it and show it off, as well as any prints that you'd like to show off. This will be the first of many 3D printing events, and we plan on making these meetups a regular event.
We are excited about what 3D printing has to offer, both for the Rochester Makerspace and society at large. We hope you will join in our enthusiasm and look forward to meeting all of you at our event!
