Geoffrey Doyle, an expert in emerging 3D technologies, will be discussing the new Mcor 3D paper printer, along with his latest insights gained from attending the recent Euromold and CES conferences.
Chris Yonge, co-founder of Makers Factory in Santa Cruz and engineering faculty member at the University of California, Santa Cruz,will discuss the range, use, and future of 3D printing for prototyping and production.
There will be a working 3D printer demo by Octave Systems.
Refreshments will be provided.

About Our Speakers:
Geoffrey Doyle is the founder and CEO of GrowShapes LLC, which sells value-added emerging 3D technology solutions. With over 10 years of VC experience with Percipient Capital in the UK, he has raised and invested, alongside his partners, c.$100m of funds into UK technology companies, including CAD and 3D software plug-ins, such as http://www.iconasolutions.com and www.imagineersystems.com where he served on the board for six years.
Geoffrey moved to Silicon Valley in January 2012 and is the U.S. partner for Percipient Capital. In 2013, he began the SV Forum 3D Printing and Scanning Special Interest Group (SIG), a South Bay organization focused on emerging 3D technologies, especially those which impact the corporate market. Geoffrey is a regular speaker on the topic of 3D printing investment and technology trends.
Chris Yonge is qualified as an architect and a product designer, and has been involved in 3D design and production for twenty years. He holds a number of published patents, the latest being for a mechanically-linked continuously variable gear, and uses 3D printing in metal and plastics as part of the development process.
