What is CryptoParty? CryptoParty is a grassroots global movement that aims to introduce the general public to the basics of practical cryptography (i.e. the art of scrambling information about yourself you'd rather keep personal, such as emails, computer files, and IP addresses).
OpenCUNY will be hosting CryptoParty 3.0, New York City's 3rd CryptoParty, on March 7th from 6:30PM-10:00PM in Room 5409 at the CUNY Graduate Center.
CryptoParty 3.0 is free to attend and open to the public. The focus of this event is on secured communication in activism, research and journalism but any member of the GC or broader NYC community with a computer and the desire to learn about cryptography and how to encrypt their own digital communications should attend.
