FROM THE DESK OF APOSTLE WILLIE TOLBERT
Greetings in the Precious Name of Jesus!
The Lord is doing awesome things in the ministry and in the lives of those who are connected to the vision the Lord has given me for Yes Lord’ Ministries.
Our theme: “CAN’T GO BACK, GOT TO MOVE FORWARD” has proven to be a season of experiencing great miracles and more are being manifested daily.
During this 31-Day Consecration, I pray that you will be encouraged to stay focused in spite of the challenges you are confronted with. Know that the Lord will perfect that which concerns you.
Philippians 3:14 (KJV)
14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
We are believing the Lord to continue to show himself strong in each of our lives and ministry as we fulfill the Purpose, Plan and Destiny he has for each of us.
The Lord desires for us all to live a life of Holiness and be the Light in the world. We are to lift up the name of Jesus through our lifestyle not only in church but also in our homes, workplaces and communities.
Expect to experience an awesome move of God in our lives and ministry as we invest this time of consecration in fasting, praying, spending quality time in the Word of God and seeking his face.
In Kingdom Building,
Apostle Willie Tolbert
During this sacred time of consecration, we will be fasting, praying, and setting our focus towards God. In order to enhance corporate participation the following guidelines have been established.
Consecration Period: Sunday, January 1st – Tuesday, January 31st
This season will consist of 31 days of fasting & consecration. Set aside some time each day to pray.
During this time we will be:
- Seeking the Face of God
- Spending quality time in Prayer and the Word
- Meditating on the Awesomeness of God
Meals: This is an absolute fast.
Note: During this time we are refraining from dairy products, red meat (beef & pork).
Drinks: Healthy drinks, such as water, juice and herbal teas.
Refrain from soda, coffee and artificial drinks.
Every day when you wake up pray, anoint your head with blessed olive oil, wash your face, and go about your day rejoicing and meditating on the Lord. Stay prayerful all day.
***Note: If you are currently taking medication prescribed by your doctor, please continue and participate to the best of your ability. Also, please inform your physician of your intent to participate in the fast and the time elements and types of food that are indicated in the instructions.
Week 1: 6:00PM – 3:00AM
Week 2: 6:00AM – 3:00PM
Week 3: 6:00PM – 3:00AM
Week 4: Daniel Fast
Please note the difference in times.
There are a few things that should be brought to each of our attention:
- Remember to be prayerful throughout the entire day.
- Keep a prayer journal of what you have experienced during this sacred time of developing a closer relationship with the Lord.
- We are appreciative of the parents who are permitting their children to participate in this consecration. There are numerous scripture references where the children were very much involved in the time of Fasting and Consecration. Josiah at the young age of 7 led an entire nation towards dedication to God.
- We are asking that if your child is not participating in the consecration that you will refrain from providing any type of foods or snacks to them at church.
Please feed them prior to coming or after service away from the sanctuary. This will enable the children who are participating to remain focused and receive from the Lord.
Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
But thou, when thou fastest, anoint thine head, and wash thy face;
That thou appear not unto men to fast, but unto thy Father which is in secret: and thy Father, which seeth in secret, shall reward thee openly.
(When we are fasting, it is between God and us. People should not be able to tell by our verbal or non-verbal actions. We should not look sad and hungry. Instead, we should seek God for strength daily.)
Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?
(During this time of consecration, allow God to destroy every yoke in your life so you can fulfill the purpose and plan He has for you.)
1 Corinthians 7:5
Defraud ye not one the other, except it be with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency.
(For the married, it is important that you go to your spouse and ask permission to participate. We want to do all things according to the scriptures, so God can get the glory out of this.)
Theme Scripture: Philippians 3:14
