This workshop is designed to educate individuals who work with or care for persons who exhibit signs and symptoms associated with Alzheimer's Disease or related dementias. This workshop was developed, in part, by the Arnold School of Public Health at the University of South Carolina.
Ideal participants include (but are not limited to): Social Workers, Case Managers, Counselors, CNA’s, PCA’s, Prevention Specialist, Nurses, Family members, Activity Directors, Anyone who interacts with individuals with dementia.

Dr. Macie P. Smith
Dr. Macie P. Smith is a Licensed Social Worker, Certified Social Work Case Manager, and a Social Worker in Gerontology. Dr. Smith is also a Certified Dementia Dialogues Instructor with the University of South Carolina, Arnold School of Public Health, Office for the Study of Aging. She has been working in the field of disabilities and gerontology for over 14 years. Dr. Smith has a wealth of knowledge, both professionally and personally, to share with others.
