2nd Annual February Fitness Frenzy Fact Sheet
Let’s get up and go! Get ready to take teamwork to a whole new level and make a positive impact on you, your residents and your community. In February 2016, the One Eighty Foundation and Leisure Care home office will join forces with the communities to raise $35,000 for children and families.
The 2nd Annual February Fitness Frenzy, benefiting the One Eighty Foundation, is inspired by Dan Madsen’s commitment of giving back to the communities in which we live, work and play.
Fitness Frenzy fulfills the company’s three-thirds lifestyle: (family, philanthropy & work)
- Create a meaningful opportunity to give back
- Promote a healthy lifestyle for staff and residents
Let’s Get ACTIVE!
The challenge will run through the month of Febuary. The goal is FUN & SIMPLE:
- 30 minutes of activity per day for staff and residents
- Each community to raise $1,000
Get Started, Get Active: there is something for everyone during the February Fitness Frenzy month. The unique thing about this is that you define what activities to include in this fundraiser. Below are some examples of active ways for you to get started:
Walking, Swimming, Dancing, Biking, Wii Bowling, NU Step, Yoga, Balance Builders, Wii Fit, Personal Training, Prime Fit, Gym Time, or Rocking in a Chair, the activities are endless!
Funds will be raised by employees and residents. Participants are simply pledged for their commitment to fitness. Ask everyone to reach out to all of their family and friends to suppor the Fitness Frenzy.
30 Active minutes = 210 minutes a week = 840 minutes for February = A Healthy Living = Raising Money To Improve Lives of Children and Families
Let’s Talk Money
The goal is for each Leisure Care community to raise a minimum of $1,000 to benefit the One Eighty Foundation. After your community has raised $1,000, anything above that amount is split fifty-fifty between the One Eighty Foundation and the nonprofit organization of your choice. All donations are tax deductible.
Thank you to everyone for your support. Let’s get active and make a difference in our communities!
