Event Details

The 2nd Annual Craft and Vendor & Halloween Family Fun Event hosted by B & B Custom Events, will be held on Sunday, October 19, 2014, from 11:00AM to 5:00PM at the Radisson Hotel Star Plaza in Merrillville, IN. (NOTE CHANGE OF LOCATION FROM LAST YEAR’S EVENT WHICH WAS AT THE HALLS OF ST. GEORGE IN SCHERERVILLE). There are 71 craft and vendor booths available. The event will be heavily advertised in several places, including the NWI Times as well as other newspapers and publications, at all of B & B Custom Events functions throughout the year, at other craft fairs, on local radio stations, on Craigslist, in local businesses, on Facebook, flyers will be sent home through some local schools, on the Radisson Hotel at Star Plaza marquee and more.

Exhibitors Rules, Regulations and Information

  1. Items sold by craft vendors must be hand crafted. (NO FLEA MARKET ITEMS PERMITTED). Each crafter must send in at least 2 photos (a photo of work in progress and a photo of finished product) of each type of items that you sell. Vendors must submit a photo of their display from past events. If you are accepted into the event, you will receive a packet in the mail, which will include flyers for you to hand out at your other events.

  2. If you are selling any type of food items, you must have a license to sell food and it must be displayed in your booth.

  3. Single Exhibit Spaces are 8’x8’. Entry fee is $60 if we receive your application by October 10, 2014.After October 10, the rate is $75. Applications and checks are to be made payable to

     

    B & B Custom Events. No applications will be accepted after October 16, 2014. Last year’s event was sold out prior to the cutoff date. Vendor fees may also be made by credit card (by October 16).

     

    NO REFUNDS WILL BE MADE ONCE YOU HAVE PAID YOUR FEE.

  4. Booths are assigned on a first come, first serve basis.

  5. Set up time will be between 9:00AM and 11:00AM on Sunday, October 19, 2014. Set up earlier than that time will not be permitted. Vendors will supply their own tables, chairs, etc. Tables must be covered to the floor. Booths must be completely set up and ready by 11:00AM. (If you have anything in your display that will be taller than 6’, please indicate that on your application. *You can rent an 8’clothed and skirted table and 2 chairs from the Radisson for a fee of $25.

  6. There is a limited amount of booths with electric available. These are available on a first come, first serve basis. There is an additional fee of $25.00 for booths with electricity. (This fee is charged by the Radisson).

  7. You may not begin tearing down your booth until 5:00pm. Any crafter or vendor tearing down early will not be accepted into future events.

  8. Attendees will be charged a $1.00 donation for entry to the craft & vendor fair & Halloween Family Fun Event. (This is part of the proceeds that will benefit the National Niemann Pick Disease Foundation).

  9. We will have trick or treat stations and a halloween costume parade for kids. We ask that each vendor donate 2 bags of wrapped candy upon check in the day of the event.

  10. There is a restaurant, TJ Maloney’s, onsite where you can purchase lunch if you desire. There is also a Starbucks and a gift shop on property, and there will be snacks for sale as well.

  11. There will be a limited number of each type of crafter and vendor. This number is at the discretion of B & B Custom Events. We will not hold space. You will not be registered until we have received your check and application.

  12. Only 2 people are permitted per booth. One must be over the age of 18.

  13. You may not sell any items that are not listed on your application. If you are selling any items that are not listed on your application, you will be asked to remove those items.

  14. B & B Custom Events, LLC will heavily advertise the event, but does not guarantee the amount of sales or turnout of shoppers for this event.

Attendees: Join us for several unique arts and crafts vendors, a Halloween Costume Parade at 3pm, Trick or Treat Stations (For Kids 12 & Under), Fun Family Friendly Entertainment, Kids Games, Characters, More. Entry fee of $1 per person.
