On Saturday, June 21, thousands of men, women and children will gather on Chicago’s lakefront to raise funds and awareness for the fight to end hunger in Cook County. The Hunger Walk is a fun opportunity for all types of businesses, organizations and individuals to help ensure their neighbors get the food they need.
The 5K, 3.1 mile Hunger Walk benefits pantries, soup kitchens and shelters in Cook County that are members of the Greater Chicago Food Depository’s network.

I agree that any and all representation made and releases, waivers, covenants, consents and permissions given by me hereunder are given on behalf of me and any and all minor children or persons over whom I have guardianship participating in or attending the event. In consideration of my participation in the Hunger Walk, I hereby assume all risks associated with the Hunger Walk and hereby release and agree to hold harmless the Greater Chicago Food Depository, event sponsors, the Chicago Park District and their respective employees, directors, officers, representatives, agents, successors, assigns and affiliates (“GCFD and its agents”) from any and all liability, actions, claims, damages, losses and/or injuries, including but not limited to loss or injury to property or to person, that I, my beneficiaries, administrators, and executors have, had or may have in the future, arising from or relating in any way to: (i) my participation in the Hunger Walk, including as a result of other participants and the weather; or (ii) any use of my name, photograph or likeness, as authorized below, including without limitation, for libel or any distortion or alteration of my photograph or likeness. I hereby grant GCFD and its agents the right to take my picture and to use my name, photograph and likeness for advertising, trade or other purposes, without further compensation or permission. I hereby assign any rights I may have in the photographs and acknowledge that GCFD and its agents shall own all rights, title and interest in any materials created, and I waive any right I may have to further inspect or approve of such materials
About the Greater Chicago Food Depository
We are Chicago’s food bank – a nonprofit food distribution and training center that provides food for hungry people while striving to end hunger in our community.
The Food Depository, founded in 1979, makes a daily impact across Cook County with a network of 650 pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, mobile programs, children’s programs, older adult programs and innovative responses that address the root causes of hunger. Last year, the Food Depository distributed 66 million pounds of shelf-stable food, fresh produce, dairy products and meat, the equivalent of 150,000 meals every day.

Last year, the Food Depository distributed 67 million pounds of shelf-stable food, fresh produce, dairy products and meat, the equivalent of 154,000 meals every day.
