Action Based   Learning for Elementary and Middle School – Jean Blaydes Madigan

Common Core K.I.D.S.

Kinesthetic Instructional Differentiation Strategies 

Highly energetic, interactive presentation that summarizes the recent brain research that links movement to learning and shows how it translates into classroom practice. It will highlight kinesthetic teaching strategies that align to Common Core Standards for the classroom.

Participants attending Action Based Learning will want to wear comfortable clothes and comfortable shoes as there will be a lot of movement during the session.

 

Service   Learning for Middle and High School – Cathryn Berger Kaye

Whether you are new to service learning or a seasoned practitioner, this highly interactive session will provide a wealth of ideas and resources. As we  carefully review the Five Stages of Service Learning, discover how to increase student initiative, inquiry, and depth of investigation. Involve students in progress monitoring. Add new ways to promote reflective behaviors. Gather new ideas and resources you can put to use immediately.
