21 Acres and Tilth Producers of WA: Organic Homebrewing and Cider Making 101
Wednesday, September 12, 2012 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM
Presented by 21 Acres and Tilth Producers of Washington, as part of Washington Organic Week.
Learn all you need to brew great tasting organic beer & craft organic cider at home!
Award winning homebrewer and co-owner of Populuxe Brewing, Peter Charbonnier will walk you through the organic extract brewing process - from recipe formulation, sanitation, brewing, fermentation and bottling. Brew a delicious Organic Pale Ale in class and sample some of the finished product.
Bear & Nancy Bishop owners of Alpenfire Cider will walk you through apple selection, juicing, to sulfite or not to sulfite (that is the question!). Basic lab work: pH, Acidity, Specific Gravity and why they matter. We won’t be able to produce and sample a cider but we will taste some cider varieties!
Class is limited. Register early. Includes beer & cider samples and pretzels.
All proceeds will be donated to Tilth Producers of Washington in honor of Washington Organic Week.
Contact Deb for questions or information on alternate forms of payment. firstname.lastname@example.org or 425-481-1500 to confirm enrollment.
