Description
The Myotonic Dystrophy Foundation (MDF) is pleased to announce the 2017 MDF Annual Conference, which takes place Friday, September 8-Saturday, September 9, 2017, at the Hyatt Regency San Francisco hotel in San Francisco, CA. This year's conference program will include a host of sessions exploring research, drug development and disease management, and provide formal and informal community networking opportunities.
For the first time since 2011, the International Myotonic Dystrophy Consortium biennial DM research meeting (IDMC-11) and the MDF Annual Conference will be jointly presented. IDMC-11 takes place September 5-9, 2017, and the 2017 MDF Annual Conference occurs September 8-9, 2017. This unique opportunity will bring together the global community of DM researchers, clinicians and families via an exciting array of joint sessions during the 2017 MDF Annual Conference.

REGISTRATION FEE & TICKETS
The 2017 registration fee provides entrance to all 2017 MDF Annual Conference events, including general and breakout sessions, two evening social receptions and other special events.

Registering for the conference does not reserve your hotel room, and spaces at the hotel is expected to fill up quickly. Please contact the hotel directly to book your room. See below for more lodging details.
PROGRAMS
2017 MDF Annual Conference attendees will:

- Create new friendships and support options via networking and community-building opportunities throughout the conference.
New to the MDF Annual Conference? MDF offers a First Timers' Tea for first-time attendees on Thursday, September 7, 2017. The Conference also features programming for male caregivers, adults living with Juvenile-Onset DM, parents of children with congenital and childhood-onset myotonic dystrophy, advocacy training, and much more.

ACCOMMODATIONS
The Hyatt Regency San Francisco hotel is located in the popular Embarcadero Waterfront district. Negotiated rates for the Hyatt Regency San Francisco hotel are exclusively available through the hotel booking form.
NOTE: Please keep in mind that Fall is a busy time of year in San Francisco, and the Hyatt Regency San Francisco and other San Francisco hotels may be completely booked by September.
TRANSPORTATION
2017 MDF Annual Conference attendees will arrive in San Francisco at either the San Francisco International Airport (SFO) or the Oakland International Airport (OAK). Visitors seeking shuttle service and transportation to the Hyatt Regency San Francisco hotel have a variety of options, including taxi service, airport shuttles and public transportation. The Hyatt Regency San Francisco is located adjacent to the California Street cable car line stop, ferry terminals and BART stations.

Conference attendees are responsible for making their own airfare and transportation arrangements to and from the hotel. MDF cannot reimburse travel, hotel accommodations or parking expenses for conference participants.
CHILDCARE
Childcare is not provided at the conference. Please make all necessary arrangements before you arrive so that you can take advantage of all that the conference has to offer. Contact Care.com for information on local caregivers and availability. MDF members traveling with young children are also encouraged to visit the MDF Facebook page to solicit interest in sharing childcare with other conference attendees.
REGISTRATION CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY
We understand that circumstances can change. MDF contracts for conference presenter, travel and hotel services nine-twelve months in advance, and adjusts those contracts based on registrations. We are therefore unable to process registration cancellations made after Monday, August 7, 2017.
