Relax, write, and rejuvenate on this weekend getaway for novice to experienced writers who desire to seclude themselves from the busyness of everyday life and focus on their hearts’ passion. Learn from, share with, and be inspired by other creative minds.

5:00-6:30 p.m. - Check-in
7:00-8:45 p.m. - Meet, Greet, & Eat
During this time we will discuss our projects, set a goal for the weekend, and select our accountability partners.
9:00-9:30 p.m. - Pick Yo's Brain Session, "Getting Started"
While many attendees have an idea about how to start their projects, others may need a little help to get them going. This session is for anyone with questions about what to do first (e.g., outline, write, summarize, etc.). While there is no one way to begin a book, several techniques will be shared to help those in need of a jumpstart find a method that they can use to work on their masterpieces for the rest of the weekend.

4:00-5:15 p.m. - Fellowship and Fun
Unwind by participating in one of the recreational activities offered at Sts. Peter & Paul Retreat Center.
5:30-7:30 p.m. - Dinner & Progress Check
Want to bounce your ideas off of someone? Need confirmation or guidance about your work? This is a time when guests can come together to address these and other writing concerns.

9:00- 9:55 a.m.- Morning Meditation
Interested guests are welcome to attend a group devotional session led by Yolonda Tonette Sanders.
10:00-10:30 a.m. - Pick Yo's Brain Session 2, "What's Next?"
For those who are ready to take their projects to the "next level," we'll discuss what happens after a manuscript is finished. For anyone interested in publishing with Yo Productions, Yolonda will give a step-by-step overview of the process and how work can be considered. Come with questions!
10:45-12:00pm - Wrap-up
We will gather together for brunch and to share our accomplishments over the weekend.

Yo Productions/Yolonda Tonette Sanders
Yolonda Tonette Sanders is a traditionally published Essence Magazine bestselling author. Her writing career began in 2004 when she signed with Hachette Book Group to release her first novel, Soul Matters. Yolonda has since written other books, including Shadow of Death (Simon and Schuster; May 2015), which is part of her mystery/suspense series.
The founder and CEO of Yo Productions, LLC, Yolonda initially created her company to produce a stage adaptation of her first book, which successfully debuted at the Capital Theatre in Columbus, Ohio. Soon after, Yolonda began offering literary services through Yo Productions. She is currently in the process of transitioning the company into an independent publishing house of its own while also planning her next major theatrical event.
Through Yo Productions, Yolonda has helped both self- and traditionally-published authors perfect their works. In addition, she has done freelance writing for businesses and individuals. Yolonda lives in Columbus and serves on the Board of Trustees of the Columbus Literacy Council, an organization dedicated to improving adult reading skills.
