2016 "Meet the Departing JETs" Picnic in Golden Gate Park

Come meet some of the outbound JETs who are headed for Japan next month from San Francisco! We'll be meeting in Golden Gate Park's Hellman Hollow (tables 10-12 on the map). JETAANC will be suppling some sushi, light appetizers/drinks, and paper products, but bring a snack to share and join us!
This is a free event - registration is requested just so we have an idea how many people might show.
JETAANC executive committee members will be showing up at 11 AM to set up, but you're welcome to stop by any time between 11 and 3. There's parking along the road, but if you're coming by bus or rideshare, Fulton St & 25th Ave is the nearest intersection to our location (with a 5-minute walk to the tables, which are close to the restrooms).
If you're driving, PLEASE AVOID DOWNTOWN SF STREETS. The SF Pride Parade takes place at the same time and Market Street will be closed from Embaracadero to Civic Center. More info: https://www.sfmta.com/about-sfmta/blog/san-francisco-beams-rainbow-pride-weekend
If you're not familiar with Golden Gate Park's weather system, we suggest you bring a hoodie or light jacket just in case to stay comfortable.

The JET Alumni Association of Northern California (JETAANC) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization consisting of former participants of the Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Program who now live in Northern California or Nevada. The all-volunteer organization serves as a network and resource for alumni, and provides assistance to the Consulate General of Japan in San Francisco for a wide range of initiatives, including local U.S.-Japan exchange activities and recruitment and orientation for the JET Program.
