Jump start your Thanksgiving morning with a fun 5K walk or run through historic Hyde Park in midtown Kansas City. Now in its sixth year, Pilgrim Run has quickly become a great tradition for runners and families alike. Proceeds from this event benefit the community programs of the Pilgrim Center. Where does the race start and finish?
Just north of the Pilgrim Chapel, which is located at 38th Street and northbound Gillham Radd in midtown Kansas City, Missouri. The race will start going southbound.
Where does the 5K course go?
The course goes through Hyde Park, Gillham Park, and the historic Hyde Park neighborhood.
When and where will the Children’s Pilgrim Dash start?
The Dash will start at the conclusion of the 5K run and walk. That will be about 10:15 am. The starting line for the dash will be just north of the 5K finish line.
Will there be food and drinks at the end of the race?
Yes! We will have food, water, and coffee for all participants.
What if it rains or snows?
We will run in the rain or snow. If it is unsafe to run or walk the course, the race director reserves the right to cancel the race.
Can I only register online?
No. Online registration is the most efficient means of registration, but you can download a registration form from the website and mail it in with a check.
Can I register in person at the packet pickup?
When and where is the packet pickup?
All participants must pick up their race packets and t-shirts (if registered prior to cut off) at the Pilgrim Chapel between 3:00 and 7:00 pm on Wednesday, November 25th or between 7:30 and 8:30 am, November 26th. Pilgrim Chapel is located at 3801 Gillham Road in Kansas City, Missouri.
What charitable organization will my participation benefit?
The Pilgrim Run benefits the community programs of the Pilgrim Center. Each year the Center hosts the Hyde Park Spring Frolic & Egg Hunt on Easter Sunday, as well as the annual Hyde Park Children's Festival, a series of music and movies every Friday night in June. All of these community events are free and open to the public.

Sponsorships are available from the Supporter Level at $100 up to the Presenting Sponsor Level at $5,000. Please click Contact the Organizer on the side bar to request more information about sponsorship.
Where can I park on Race Day?
Parking is available at Notre Dame de Sion Grade School (3823 Locust St.). Access to this parking lot will close at 8:45 a.m. and exit will not be opened until 9:30 a.m. since this lot is within the race course. Other parking is available at Westport Commons (39th and Warwick) and Cornerstones of Care (36th and Gillham). Please DO NOT park on the streets that are on the race course.
