Description

Dogtown Half Marathon has something for everyone! In 2016 we are "Continuing to be Green" and offering a cup-free race experience!

Our half marathon is a scenic downhill course, including the new Virgin River Boardwalk Trail. The race finishes at Washington City's iconic Staheli Family Farm.

Are you up for a real challenge? Register for the Double Dog Dare! Instead of hitching a ride on the shuttle buses to the start, Double Dog Dare participants run to the start of the half marathon, joining the rest of the participants for the return trip. That's 26.2 miles! This event is limited to 50 people who receive the VIP treatment!

The 5K is a lollipop-loop course starting and ending at Staheli Family Farm. Kids, 3-12, can participate in Ralph's DogGone Fun Run taking them in and around this working family farm.

All races will finish at the Farm creating a memorable family-friendly atmosphere! All finishers of all races receive a quality race shirt and finisher medal.

Remember that our race is CUP-FREE! Aid stations will offer HydraPour speed valve technology to refill your water and sports drink! Watch this video! Reusable cups and hydration systems will be for sale at our Expo and packet pick-up.

Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 male and female half-marathon racers. Additionaly, the top three age-group finishers in each race will be awarded prizes. Age-group divisions for the half-marathon are in 5-year increments from 15-69 and in the 5K in 5-year increments from 10-69.

FAQs

What is a Cup-Free Race?

In 2016, DogTown events are offering our racers a cup-free racing experience. Our course will not offer paper or plastic cups. This reduces mess and unnecessary obstacles from our aid stations and gives our racers a smooth and clean feel to their racing experience. Runners are encouraged to carry their own hydration packs.

What can I expect at a cup-free aid station?

Watch this video and see how seamlessly a cup-free aid station works. Our aid stations will be stocked with water, sports drink and some aid stations will offer sports gels and fruit.
