2016 Advanced Wound Therapeutics Symposium

"Roadmap to Innovative Healing Solutions"

 

Objective:

The Symposium is designed for wound care practitioners of all levels, including Physicians, Podiatrists, Nurses, Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Researchers, & Hyperbaric Oxygen Technicians, as well as health facility administrators & any other healthcare professionals involved in wound healing. Upon completion, participants will recognize ethical considerations in wound care, age-related differences in wound healing, technological innovations in wound management, and advanced wound therapeutic modalities related to deep tissue injury, delayed radiation injury, critical limb ischemia, lower extremity ulcers, edema, and diabetic foot ulcers. Participants should acknowledge these modalities as evidence-based practice and standard of care in wound healing.

Physician Accreditation

St. Vincent Hospital and Health Care Center Inc. is accredited by the Indiana State Medical Association to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

 

Physician Designation Statement

St. Vincent Hospital and Health Care Center Inc. designates this regularly reoccurring series activity for a maximum of 7.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s).  Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

 

Physical Therapist Accreditation

APTA approved for 7.0 contact hours for PT/PTA participants.

 

Nursing Accreditation

St. Vincent Hospital and Health Care Center, Inc. (OH-435, 12/1/2016) is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Ohio Nurses Association (OBN_001_91), an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. 7.00 nursing continuing education contact hours will be provided. 

 

The Indiana State Nurses Association has designated ONA as the official approver of CNE Providers and activities for Indiana.
