Data Entry Volunteer Opportunity
Special Olympics Texas is looking volunteers to help enter athlete/coach information into its database system.
Here is the information breakdown for this volunteer project:
WHO: Each shift will need up to 10 people, great for individuals or small groups.
WHAT: Data Entry of all the athlete entries for the Winter Games competitions: bowling, figure skating, powerlifting and volleyball. This is the first step in ensuring a successful Winter Games.
WHEN: This project will run from Dec. 9 through Dec.12 for the shifts listed above under "Ticket Information".
WHERE: Our state office is located at 7715 Chevy Chase Drive, Suite 120 in Austin, 78752.
WHY: To ensure a quality and fair competition for all our athletes as well as verify athlete medical info to keep them safe.
HOW: Basic computer experience and typing ability helpful. A short training is given to get you acquainted with our software.

The mission of Special Olympics Texas is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in the sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.
