WINGS Foundation invites you to the 2014 Soaring to New Heights Conference. The conference covers two days (September 26 & 27) and provide two tracks, Clinical/Professional (9/26) and Experiential/Educational (9/27). All are welcome to attend just one or both days, but we seek to give registrants the opportunity to tailor their experience according to their individual needs and interests.
Day One (Sept 26, 9am-4:30pm): Clinical/Professional Track
Summary: More advanced workshops around trauma. Workshops are tailored more to clinicians, providers, and criminal justice professionals but registration is open to all interested non clinicians as well! Check-in begins at 8am.
Included in Day One: Clinical Keynote: "When Abuse is in the Family: Critical Considerations for Adult Survivors - 3 Survivor & Clinician Perspectives"; up to 12 workshops; boxed lunch & coffee/snacks
Day Two (Sept 27, 9am-4:30pm): Experiential/Educational Track
Summary: Workshops tailored more to survivors and loved ones, including heavy emphasis on expressive arts, developing grounding skills and body awareness, survivor/loved one experiences, etc. While these workshops are tailored for healing among survivors and loved ones, we encourage the clinical community to attend and experience these processes for themselves. Check-in begins at 8am.
Included in Day Two: Survivor Keynote-Ned Breslin, CEO, Water for People and his wife, Lindsey, on "The Power of Belief"; up to 12 workshops; boxed lunch & coffee/snacks
*Note: Due to limited seating, there is NO day-of registration. Early Bird Registration ends Aug 1 and General Registration ends September 19.
