2014 USAnaphylaxis Summit -- Anaheim, CA
Friday, September 12, 2014 from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM (PDT)
San Francisco, California
London, United Kingdom
This one-day regional FREE event will bring together allergists, school nurses, nutritionists, asthma educators, pediatricians, and others to share resources, strategies and experiences to build a stronger community-based anaphylaxis network.

The timing for this event could not be more appropriate, since the California legislature is currently voting on SB 1266, a stock epinephrine bill that would require schools to supply and store epinephrine auto-injectors. At the Anaheim Summit, we will discuss the impact of this legislation — and similar laws around the country — and explore options for policy development and implementation.
In addition, summit attendees will participate in interactive forums that will address:
Psychosocial Impact of Life-Threatening Allergies
Innovative Tools to Educate Your Community
Power of Partnering
School Nurse Best Practices
Each presentation will be followed by interactive roundtable discussions, allowing attendees to dialogue with other stakeholders and develop action plans for building anaphylaxis awareness and preparedness in their communities.
Speakers include [nationally prominent physicians, school nurses and anaphylaxis experts] Ruchi Gupta, MD; Matthew Greenhawt, MD; Jane Robinson, PhD; Sally Schoessler, MSEd, BSN, RN; Kimberly Turner, Esq and Tonya Winders, MBA.
Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
The 2014 USAnaphylaxis Summit is sponsored by Mylan Specialty L.P.
