Unbinding the Gospel: Unbinding our Hearts

 

Goal  Provide inspiration, practical tools and best practices for clergy and laity to effectively reach the un-churched in your community. 

Who is invited?  Bring a team from your congregation. Clergy, laity, leaders, and all others in your congregations who desire to learn and improve skills for inviting others into a living relationship with Jesus Christ!

Details  Event is FREE (Lunch will be provided for all registered participants at $5 per person, payable at the event.  Special dietary needs are included in the online registration process.)

Please be sure to register each person on your church's team individually.  Your registration will enter your name for prizes!

Preparation: Read the book "Unbinding the Gospel" by Martha Grace Reese.

Childcare available for children 8 and under when registered in advance.

Featured Speakers include:  Rev. Sharma D. Lewis, Rev. Nichole MacMillan, Testimonies and Presentations from WNCC Congregations and Pastors.

Rev. Sharma D. Lewis is the District Superintendent of the Atlanta Decatur Oxford District. She is best known for her diligent work in reaching the unchurched, professions of faith, and new membership growth. Rev. Lewis is the recipient of the 2010 Harry Denman Evangelism Award and the G. Ross Freeman Leadership Award.

Rev. Nichole MacMillan is the Head Percolator and Ministry Director at The Light, a Community of Christians in Middle Georgia. The Light meets at Bare Bulb Coffee in Kathleen, Georgia. Rev. MacMillan’s resume includes things like commuting to work in the Idaho back country by 4x4 truck and time in Guatemala, Costa Rica, and Nicaragua. She earned a Master of Divinity Degree from Union Theological Seminary, and is a coach with “Unbinding the Gospel.” www.barebulbcoffee.org
