SCASLA presents RiverWalk: A Case Study. RiverWalk is a multi-use development on the Catawba River  in the Rock Hill, South Carolina. This unique development is a public-private partnership between the City of Rock Hill and Assured Group. RiverWalk site was formerly the Celanese chemical plant.  The plan for the 1000 acre brownfield site includes housing, commercial/office, manufacturing, as well as major sporting themes with world class bicycle venues.  This one-day session will allow us to learn about the process of a public-private partnership, the successful impact RiverWalk has had on the local community and future plans for the development. The panel of speakers represents the design team including the developer, designers, elected officials as well as city staff involved with the project.
