Event Details

This year the Memphis Music and Heritage Festival will be on the 30th and 31st of August,

Each Labor Day Weekend we produce the Memphis Music & Heritage Festival. It is the Center's signature event. With urban Memphis as our backdrop we showcase and celebrate of the music, culture, arts, and rhythms of the Memphis/Delta region. On five stages we present musicians, dancers, cooks, talkers, poets, folk artists, workshops, and craft vendors allowing festival-goers to celebrate Memphis' musical roots and also enjoy many contemporary twists to our musical heritage.

As one first time festival goer said, "The Festival fits the entire spirit of the city into a few downtown blocks. It feels like we're in some big metropolitan city, It's really refreshing to see people who are warm to each other, just listen to music and relax." That's the way it's supposed to be. After people leave the Festival, they see each other differently. Their lives change, and for the better. This year the festival is completely free to any and everyone, so bring all your friends and have a great time!

This years lineup so far is Bobby Rush, Al Kapone, The Mighty Souls Brass Band, Sonny Burgess, DEVIL TRAIN, Kyle "Mojo Hand" Carmon, Joshua Crosby & Jeremy Stanfill, Exodus, Sweet Angel, Ify, Joyce Cobb, Mason Jar Fireflies, Den of Strings, Full Nietzsche, The Three Kings, Agori Tribe, Eric Crays Music, The Daddy Mack Blues Band, FreeWorld, The Mellowtones, Smoochy Smith, Randal Morton, Zeke Johnson & Jimmy Crosthwait, Barbara Blue, Ashton London, Stephen Sciara, Roy Harper, Rice Drewry, King Ellis, Paul Taylor, London Fog, Dragoon, J-Train Blues Band, Swampkatz, Southward Duo, Darrel Petties & Strength In Praise, Willie Firecracker, Big Baby, First Class, Moments of Joy, Singa B Productions, Jack Rowell Blues Band, 2Fingaz, Danza Azteca Quetzacoatl, Porcelian Chalet, Tori WhoDat, Bell Singers, St. Benedict Jazz Group, with more acts to come!
