When & Where
Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles dba Long Beach Grand Cru
The Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles (LAFLA), founded in 1929, is the frontline law form for poor and low-income people in greater Los Angeles. Our mission is to provide access to justice and change lives through direct representation, systems change and community education. In 2012, LAFLA's poverty law experts, aided by a network of dedicated supporters and volunteers, provided high-quality civil legal assistance, free of charge, to more than 13,500 low-income individuals and families and assisted over 50,000 others with legal self help materials, education and referrals, helping them to avoid homelessness, escape domestic violence, obtain subsistence benefits and health care access, defend themselves against employment and consumer abuses, secure protection from torture and exploitation, and stabilize their living situations and become self-sufficient.
LAFLA's Long Beach Grand Cru is both a premier International Wine Competition and a popular outdoor Public Tasting Celebration. Since its inception in 1995, the Grand Cru has raised over $3.9 million to support LAFLA’s services in the greater Long Beach/Harbor area and across metropolitan Los Angeles.
