Event Details

Join us on Friday, May 9, for the 2014 Central Texas Funders Forum, “Funding Realities, Relationships, and Relays”. This annual signature event of the Austin/Central Texas Grant Professionals Association (GPA) is open for all to attend and will be located at the Girl Scouts of Central Texas' Kodosky Program Center. Reservations through Eventbrite are required for this event as space is limited. Registration closes on May 6 or when we reach capacity; we cannot handle walk-ins on May 9th.

Grant professionals value conciseness and practicality. In response to attendee feedback, we have shortened this event to two panels and a "relationship relay" that offers networking opportunities between grantwriters and grantmakers. Foundations confirmed to be in attendance include: Austin Community Foundation, Roy F. & Joann Cole Mitte Foundation, Michael & Susan Dell Foundation, Meadows Foundation, Applied Materials, United Way of Williamson County, Lola Wright Foundation, Dell Foundation, KLE Foundation, A Glimmer of Hope Foundation, United Way for Greater Austin, KDK-Harman Foundation, Meadows Foundation, Carl C. Sr. and Marie Jo Anderson Charitable Foundatoin, United Way of Willimaons County, the RGK Foundation, and US Trust/Bank of America (representing multiple foundations).

Schedule:
8:30 – 9:00:    Networking Breakfast and Opening Remarks

9:00 – 10:00:  Sustained Funding Collaborations – What Makes Them Work? 

An armchair chat between two pairs of long-term grantor/grantee collaborators, on how they established and continue to nurture their relationships, featuring the Michael and Susan Dell Foundation/Seton Healthcare Family and U.S. Trust (Bank of America)/Hospice Austin.

10:00 – 10:15:  Break

10:15 – 11:15:  Introductions

Twelve funder representatives introduce themselves and their organizations, focusing on giving priorities, procedures and community impact.

 11:15 – 12:15:  Relationship Relay

Funder representatives will be available at small tables to answer questions about their organizations; attendees can visit with multiple funders during this time. 

 12:15 -- 1:15:  Lunch and Keynote Speaker – MariBen Ramsey

   1:15 – 1:30:  Presentation of Giving Star Award, raffle, closing remarks

Your registration includes a continental breakfast and lunch (with vegetarian option). Please note that, by registering for this event, you are consenting to any photographs taken of you being used by GPA in print, social media, and other forms of media.
