The Carter G. Woodson Lecture Series honors the legacy of the "Father of Black History" and a historic changemaker, Dr. Carter G. Woodson. Each year, the Lecture Series welcomes great and profound speakers from across the globe. This year, our featured guest is Dr. Freeman Hrabowski, III, President of the University of Maryland-Baltimore and appointed Chair of the President's Advisory Commission on Educational Excellence for African Americans. The evening's theme is "Bridging the Gap: Minorities and Education. All proceeds will benefit the Gamma Omicron Educational Services, Inc. scholarship program.
