BREC'S PERKINS ROAD COMMUNITY PARK

Event Details and Schedule

The 2nd Annual Daddy, Daughter & Son 1 mile relay will be staged from BREC's Perkins Road Park. The start, finish and relay areas will be on the south side of Olympia Stadium. See map at right for location. Relay start is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. The event course will close at 10:30 a.m.

Packet Pickup will be held Friday, June 13 from 10:30am to 6:30pm at Fleet Feet Sports, 6251 Perkins Road, Baton Rouge.

Event Format

Relay Format: Each team member runs one loop of the one (1) mile relay wearing their team “necktie”. Teams need to bring their own necktie or relay "item" for the race. Runners can complete the event in any order but each team member must complete the one (1) mile loop.

Strollers: Each stroller division runner (single or double) must run the one (1) mile loop once only.

Registration Information

All relay team members must be registered at the same time. Registration for each member of your team includes race t-shirt, post-race food and drinks and finisher's prize for each "Dad' on the team. Adult and youth size t-shirts are available. Shirts are guaranteed for all registrations received by June 6, 2014.

Late registration begins on June 7, 2014.  Late registration is not guaranteed t-shirts.

Living Social Voucher Redemption

Purchased a voucher for the race from Living Social?  Redemption of your voucher is easy.  Simply click the "Enter Promotional code" link in the Ticket Information area, enter your voucher number into the box, and click Apply.  The entry type you purchased will become complimentary and you can proceed through the registration process from there.  Remember to have all your registration information ready at that time.

Awards

Awards will be presented to winners in each of the following "age groups." "Age groups" are determined by adding the age of each member of your team together. For example, a parent (46 years old) with two kids (14 and 10), would total 70 and therefore will fall into the 61-80 division for the 3 person relay. Awards will be given to winners of each relay race (2 person, 3 person, 4 person) in each "age group."

Age Groups: Under 40, 41-60, 61-80, 81-100, 101-120, 120+ Stroller division awards will be given to winners in the single and double stroller categories only.
