NOTICE OF RACE
Cressy Qualifier 2014
Hosted by Sheridan Shore Sailing School
Date: Saturday September 20th – Sunday September 21st

Rules: The regatta will be governed by the 2013-2016 ISAF RRS, the prescriptions of the US Sailing Association, the ISSA PR’s, this NOR, MISSA PR, and the SI’s.
Registration and Entry: Entries must be received by Saturday, September 13th 5:00 p.m.

Entry fee is $23 per competitor. Please make sure that your High School is paid and active with MISSA and ISSA before you register for Cressy. Any team not active with ISSA and MISSA by September 13th will not be allowed to sail in the qualifier. There will be NO FOOD provided for this event. There is no drop-dead date for Cressy Qualifier once you have registered.

This regatta is a qualifier for the Cressy Championship hosted by Bellingham YC. The top 2 laser full rigs and the top 2 laser radial rigs will get a berth to the Cressy Championship.

8:30 a.m - Coaches meeting
8:45 a.m. - Competitors meeting
9:45 a.m. - 1st Full Rig Start
No races will be started after 5:00 p.m.
Sunday, September 21st 8:30 a.m. - Boat set-up
9:00 a.m. - Competitors meeting
10:00 a.m. - 1st start
No races will be started after 1:30 p.m.

Sheridan Shore Sailing School
For more than 70 years, Sheridan Shore Sailing School has been proud to offer students of all ages the opportunity to experiences the thrill, challenge, and exhilaration of sailing. All SSSS coaches are U.S. Sailing Level 1 Small Boat and 1st AID/ CPR Certified. Our classes feature a low student- instructor ratio to teach the skills of sailing and seamanship to juniors, high school students and adults of all ability levels. In addition to summer sailing lessons, we also coach high school teams in the spring and fall as well as partner with the North Suburban Recreation Association to offer sailing to children and adults with disabilities.
In 2014, Sheridan Shore Sailing School became accredited as one of twenty six US Sailing Community Sailing Centers. This honor recognizes that SSSS exceeds all the required standards set forth by US Sailing and maintains an impressive commitment to high quality public access sailing through our educational resources and outstanding staff.
The Sailing School, a 501c (3) not-for-profit organization, operates in partnership with the Wilmette Harbor Association and is located at Sheridan Shore Yacht Club in Wilmette, IL.
